Né le 15 avril 1962 à Harlow, en Angleterre, Nick Kamen débute dans le mannequinat avant de se faire remarquer à la télévision pour une publicité Levi’s, dans laquelle le jeune homme se déshabille dans une laverie automatique. C’est Madonna qui le lance dans la chanson en 1986 et son premier titre Each time you break my heart est un succès. Son dernier tube le plus significatif reste I Promised Myself, publié en 1990.
